Search by breed, region and status
The "Available Puppies" page gathers litters from every verified breeder on the portal. Filter by status (available, reserved, upcoming) and region (Québec, Ontario). Results are sorted by freshness — see our fairness promise.
Compare standardized listings
Every listing shows the same fields, whichever breeder posted it: breed, sex, colour, date of birth, real availability, price, vaccinations, microchip and registration papers. You compare apples to apples.
Ask the breeder your questions
Mon Chiot connects your family with the breeder — contact details, litter history, the parents' health testing. From there, the conversation happens directly between you and them, no middleman.
Visit and meet the parents
A responsible breeder welcomes a visit before any reservation, shows you the mother (and the father, if on site) and answers your hard questions honestly. It's the most reliable signal there is.
Reserve, then welcome your puppy
The reservation, deposit and contract are signed between you and the breeder — Mon Chiot never collects or processes any payment. Your puppy leaves vaccinated, microchipped and already socialized.
Ranking is earned, not bought.
Litters appear on Mon Chiot in order of when they were posted or last updated — never based on an amount paid by the breeder. A small kennel with a single litter a year has exactly the same shot at visibility as a breeder posting every month.

What we check before a breeder can post:
Real existence of the kennel, valid contact details, a written commitment to a code of conduct (transparency on health, a reasonable cap on litters, no sales to pet stores), and stated accuracy for every listing's information.
What a responsible breeder always does.
Whether you adopt through Mon Chiot or elsewhere, these criteria apply. Use them to judge any breeder.
Health tested
Both parents passed the health testing recommended for their breed before mating, and the results are shown, not just mentioned.
Real socialization
Puppies grow up in a home environment, handled daily — not in an isolated outdoor pen until they leave.
Limited litters
A number of litters per year that allows each puppy to be known individually — not continuous production.
Guaranteed take-back
A written contract that provides for taking the dog back at any age, if the adopting family can no longer keep it.
A breeder who refuses a visit before any reservation — that's the most reliable red flag there is.
Red flags to watch for — payment demanded only by e-transfer before any meeting, refusal to show the mother, courier delivery with no visit possible, several different breeds always available, or a price well under market for the breed. These listings aren't accepted on Mon Chiot; elsewhere, be cautious.
What we're asked most.
No. Mon Chiot charges families nothing and processes no payment. The price shown is the breeder's; the deposit and balance are settled directly with them, on their own terms.
Every breeder confirms their identity, provides verifiable contact details, and agrees in writing to a code of conduct covering breeding-dog health, puppy socialization and a reasonable number of litters. We remove any listing found to be inaccurate.
Never. There is no featured placement or pay-to-rank bidding on Mon Chiot. Display order follows only how recently a listing was posted or updated.
Give them a day or two, then move on to another listing: serious breeders usually respond quickly. Prolonged silence after several follow-ups is itself useful information.
No. Each breeder sets their own price based on breed, lineage and what's included (vaccinations, microchip, papers). Mon Chiot has no role in setting or negotiating price.
Email us at info@monchiot.ca with the listing name and the issue. We review every report and remove any listing that no longer meets our code of conduct.
